The most common disputes over contracts for work, and how to avoid them
Disputes over contracts for work most often come from three sources: an unclear or missing specification of the work (exactly what is to be delivered), disputes over price for additional work, and complaints about defects in the work. The Czech Civil Code gives the customer the right to raise defects in the work, and the handover record is then key evidence in any dispute. A contract for work should explicitly regulate: how additional work is handled, how acceptance takes place, and what the conditions for payment are. I will prepare a contract that heads off the most common disputes.
