What I take care of for you

Without a Land Registry entry, ownership does not pass to the new owner. The registration proceedings have strict formal requirements, and even a small mistake in the application can cause a delay or a rejection.

  • Preparing the application to register the ownership right
  • Checking the deed on which the registration is based
  • Filing the application with the relevant Land Registry office
  • Tracking the progress of the proceedings
  • Communication with the Land Registry office
  • Notification once the registration has been completed

Land Registry proceedings in practice: what puts a successful entry at risk

The Land Registry office may not allow the entry before a 20 day protective period expires (Section 18 of the Cadastral Act); in practice it usually decides within 30 days. The proceedings can be interrupted if formal defects are found, such as a missing notarized signature, an incorrect description of the property, or a mismatch with the geometric plan. Every interruption adds weeks of waiting. As your lawyer, I make sure the application meets all formal requirements and is filed complete and correct. I track the progress of the proceedings and keep you informed at every step.
